Kansas City World Cup Finale Finale: Was It Worth It?!?

Tonight we hope to experience the cowtown kickball crescendo with what is legitimately an important game.  

Here's an overview and a bit more info . . .  

The World Cup doesn’t end until the final on July 19, but Kansas City’s Fan Fest will wrap Saturday after the last match hosted here — the quarterfinal between Argentina and Switzerland.

It’s a bit of a full-circle moment. The first match hosted in the city was the group-stage competition between Argentina and Algeria — both countries that chose base camps in the region.

One day left for Fan Fest in Kansas City

Friday marked the 18th day of Fan Fest in Kansas City since kicking off on June 11 for the first group-stage match at Kansas City Stadium.


Only seven World Cup teams remain - and two of them call Kansas home * Kansas Reflector

Both Kansas-based teams will play Saturday in the quarterfinals, as England squares off with Norway and Argentina faces Switzerland.
