"Newly filed city documents shed light on the potential for new housing in Crown Center as it’s poised to transform into a Royals ballpark district.

"The proposal lays out where the stadium would go, where buildings could be renovated or constructed, and where there could be plaza areas. The City Plan Commission is scheduled to consider the rezoning proposal Aug. 5.

"A new version of the rezoning site plan, filed July 29, lists a “proposed” number of housing units for the district in multi-unit buildings: 1,500."
