It's always surprising to see how quickly locals forget recent history . . .

LET'S NOT FORGET CONSTANT DISAPPOINTMENT & FEW DEETS FROM THE ROYALS DURING THEIR FIRST DOWNTOWN STADIUM ADVENTURES!!!

This time around we should only expect a few new drawings and more happy talk. 

Voters would have better luck and engage in a more useful conversation if the asked the team about the dearth of decent pitching staff. 

Still . . . 

Here's the notice and a much more optimistic report . . .  

"A public meeting regarding the rezoning proposal for the future downtown Kansas City Royals ballpark is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Monday, July 27. The event will take place in the Regnier Theatre at Union Station and is a required step ahead of a City Plan Commission hearing in August.

"The Royals are advancing their $1.9 billion downtown stadium project in partnership with Hallmark Cards at Crown Center. This upcoming public meeting will serve as a platform for neighborhood outreach, where residents and stakeholders can review the development plans and discuss the rezoning associated with the ballpark district."
