Kansas City Royals Fans Must Never Forget Fountain Lady

Apropos for #TBT . . . Let's remember the good times and our eternal love for a lady who was willing to dive right into a losing season . . .

The Royals "Fountain Lady" (Jessica McCoy) became a viral internet sensation in August 2013. During a Kansas City Royals game, the Iowa native climbed into the outfield water feature at Kauffman Stadium. She waded through the water holding a drink before being escorted from the park in handcuffs.

She ultimately faced charges of trespassing, resisting arrest, and solicitation. The incident gained massive notoriety and led to her losing her bank job. However, an Iowa judge later ruled that she was still eligible to receive unemployment benefits.

 Accordingly . . .

This story is much nicer, somewhat reminiscent of dear Jess but, sadly, not as interesting . . .

"One fan was cited after jumping into the fountain at Kauffman Stadium to retrieve a home run ball for a young fan recovering from surgery."
