Actually, the homicide count for July continues to decline compared to last year.
HOWEVER . . . This midday report reminds us of more work left to do . . . Check-it:
Homicide Truman and Cleveland
This morning at 08:40am officers were dispatched to Truman and Cleveland on a shooting call.
On arrival officers located a vehicle that appeared to have gunshot damage that had come to rest at that location.
Inside that vehicle was an adult male shooting victim who was unresponsive. EMS responded and declared the victim deceased at the scene.
Homicide Detectives and crime scene investigators are at the scene now.
