When local journalists like Dave Helling advocate to judge the merits of the World Cup on VIBES rather than dollars & cents then voters shouldn't hold out much hope for a real cost break down.

KANSAS CITY SUFFERED AN EPIC LOSS AMID WORLD CUP 2026!!! LOCAL BIZ & GOVERNMENT TOOK ON HUGE DEBT FOR A PARTY THAT ONLY PAID FOR THE POLITICALLY CONNECTED!!!

Sadly . . .

Most of the defense we'll hear is from tourism officials and the very same people paid to promote the scam. Voters have every right to remain skeptical.
