Kansas City Freedom Walk Redux

Most of these people were, in fact, innocent and sacrificed countless years to a problematic criminal justice system. 

On the other had . . . A lot of local ex-cons have recently been excused from lengthy jail sentences by way of political leverage.

"Dozens of people gathered Saturday morning in Overland Park for the third annual Greater Kansas City Freedom Walk — an event organized by Miracle of Innocence, a nonprofit working to free innocent people from prison.

"Among those walking were survivors who collectively spent more than 96 years behind bars for crimes they say they did not commit."
