Suburban busybodies are mostly worried about traffic . . .
Here in Kansas City the struggle is different . . .
People are using e-bikes to get around car or motorcycle ownership and KCMO wants their cut.
And so . . . New legislation is really just another small biz & local regulatory move . . . Check-it:
"City leaders will consider if they need to update the city’s code when it comes to e-bikes. It’s a conversation cities across the metro are faced with as the options become more popular.
"A proposal is expected to be discussed during a city council committee meeting on July 14.
"If the plan is eventually approved it would clarify what qualifies as an e-bike, the different types that can legally operate in the city, and other safety standards. It would also address where people would be allowed to legally ride e-bikes."
