It's okay to be skeptical about the cover story given that so many problems are solved by way of conveniently timed tax breaks for a project that was built upon taxpayer dollars . . . Take a peek at the latest pause:  

"A vote on an ordinance that would allow the Midtown Costco store to become a Costco Business Center was put on hold after a quick Kansas City, Missouri, City Council meeting Thursday that left Costco customers with questions."
