Now that transit hype for the World Cup is complete, local routes and workers earn cruel consideration from management.

"KCATA said the service adjustments were originally scheduled to begin in May but were deferred through the availability of World Cup-related funding."Under the approved budget for the fiscal year, the city allocated $83.3 million for transit operations.
"Completion of the approved service plan will also result in workforce reductions, including approximately 48 bus operator positions, according to KCATA. "
