Kansas City 18th & Vine Extension Threatens To RUIN Streetcar

Luckily, we're pretty sure this upcoming forum in just another waste of time and/or a way to route more cash to politically connected transit wonks. 

However . . . 

Given a recent World Cup mass shooting and the sketchy history of the district overall, here's what we know for certain . . .

HOOKING UP THE STREETCAR TO THE 18TH & VINE DISTRICT WILL DESTROY THE TOY TRAIN!!!

Again, it's unlikely but a good indicator of desperation behind the scene amid fewer federal dollars to maintain the outdated mode of transit . . . 

Check-it:  

"Kansas City, The KC Streetcar Authority and the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) are partnering to conduct a feasibility study to extend the KC Streetcar east, from Main Street to the 18th & Vine District. This study will assess route options, transit demand, and facilitate public engagment to support future planning for the 18th & Vine District. The official study area includes Wyandotte Street to Woodland Avenue, and 17th Street to 20th Street."
