"Jackson County taxpayers impacted by disputed 2023 property assessments could receive nearly $250 million in relief under a proposed class action settlement announced Thursday.
"County Executive Phil LeVota announced the agreement on Thursday morning, calling it a major step toward resolving a years-long fight over property tax increases that affected thousands of homeowners."
