"Residents near the newest plot in the Regency Heights subdivision near Highway 24 and East Bundschu Road in Independence continue to deal with abandoned homes, towering weeds, and uncertainty surrounding a stalled development project. KMBC 9 Investigates has reported about the project for months, as former developer Rob Clifton of Clifton Homes could no longer pay creditors. Clifton is now facing federal drug charges and remains in custody."
