Chastain Argues Monorail Petition Against Kansas City Mayor Q

A smart move for the longtime transit activist, prolific petitioner and friend of our www.TonysKansasCity.com blog . . . 

In the attached picture (Clay Chastain @ City Hall on July 6th 2026) Chastain displays Historic (Cerified) Green Transportation Initiative & points to his own (KC Voter) Signature on line one. 

Here's the word . . . And an effort to leverage negative sentiment against Mayor Q into support for a long-shot transit plan . . . Check-it: 

Chastain: We have our own 'King' in KC who does not want the People to vote. 

"Chastain pledges to (legally) Overpower the "King" & Empower the People. 

"(Mayor) Lucas is trying to derail a vote on a Certified Monorail Petition submitted to the City by the People. On July 2nd, Mayor Lucas highjacked 2-Petitions (Monorail & Stadium) and sent them to a 'Special Committee (he Chairs) for Legal Review'. Lucas' subversive act violated City Charter law & the intent of the Petitions to go on the Nov. Ballot. "King Lucas" is afraid of losing Control & losing Glory. Afraid voters will Reject his Downtown Stadium proposal & afraid voters will Accept Chastain's Monorail Initiative. Kansas City's Emperor has no plan, has no clothes & has no business continuing his intimidation of the People."
