"Just before midnight on Tuesday, a Ring doorbell camera captures what Evergy is calling vandals appearing to rip cables off poles near 88th Terrace and Wornall in Waldo. The incident temporarily knocked power out to around 1,800 Evergy customers and woke people up with the noise."
