During the 2026 legislative session, Kansas lawmakers passed HB 2635. It enacted the “Pregnancy Center Autonomy Act,” which shields (anti-abortion) pregnancy centers from certain government regulations. Under the new law, government officials will not be allowed to force these centers to promote abortions or conduct abortions.
