Here's the word from the Republican Missouri leader and the plan to move forward with the legal battle and upcoming (re)vote after Show-Me State voters endorsed abortion by a decisive margin last time around . . .
Governor Kehoe said he agrees with Attorney General Catherine Hanaway's decision to appeal the ruling to the Missouri Supreme Court.
"Yesterday’s ruling in Jackson County is disappointing, dangerous, and puts the safety of Missouri women in jeopardy," Kehoe said in the post.
Kehoe also called for support for an anti-abortion measure that will be on the ballot in November.
"Missourians do not support this irresponsible reversal of patient safety standards," Kehoe said. "Now more than ever, it’s critical for Missourians to vote YES on Amendment 3 in November and make it abundantly clear that our state stands for life and the protection of mothers."
