A probable cause statement filed by the Missouri State Highway Patrol showed that troopers responded to reports of a wrong-way driver traveling on Highway 50 in Lee’s Summit. The incident happened around 10:50 p.m. on Sept. 20, 2024. They found him trapped in a Chevrolet Suburban that had rolled onto its side. Court documents show his car collided with a Subaru Legacy driven by Kevin Wilson, 65, of Lee’s Summit. Wilson died in the crash.
