"Officers arrived at the residence around 1:20 a.m. and ordered the man to come out. Investigators said he climbed back onto the roof while armed with multiple knives.
"Preliminary information released by the KBI indicates that the man, while holding a knife, began making throwing motions toward officers and family members below. One KCKPD officer then fired a weapon, hitting him once."
