"A tornado warning is in effect until 9 p.m. for parts of Wyandotte, Clay, Platte and Jackson counties. A storm capable of producing a tornado was located near Gladstone and moving east at 40 mph. Take cover immediately if you are in the warning area."

Tornado watch issued for the Kansas City metro; severe storms expected Saturday night
A tornado watch is in effect for the Kansas City area until 11 p.m. Saturday. Severe storms may bring tornadoes, damaging winds, large hail and heavy rain.
