Not so long ago this franchise garnered a great deal of love . . . Now, an intrepid foodie journalist finds reason for doubt . . . Take a peek:
The corporate office’s statement on the subleases: “We regularly evaluate our restaurant portfolio in Kansas City as part of our normal business operations. We don’t comment on specific locations under review, but these evaluations are focused on continuing to understand our local market and ensuring we’re best positioned to serve our Guests long term.”
To be clear, the locations are still operating. (But the listings also say “former Whataburger” for anyone thinking they aren’t seeking Whataburger replacements.)
