Kansas City Lady Soccer Demands Taxpayer

The opening line to this conversation that deserves more attention than AI slop drawings .  ..

"A proposal to fund the expansion of the Kansas City Current’s stadium could cost the city up to $235 million in bond financing."

After that it's all just promises, politics and spin.

And so, the big question tonight is . . .

SHOULD TAXPAYERS FINANCE BILLIONAIRES FOR THE BENEFIT OF SOCCER LADY BALLERS?!?!

DON'T WORRY, KANSAS CITY RESIDENTS WILL NEVER GET TO VOTE ON IT!!!

On a personal level . . .

We don't want to hear any anti-stadium advocacy from locals who are ALSO unwilling to complain about this even if gripes about lady soccer come with far more political risk.

Now, here are more nice thoughts and pretty pictures . . .

"A rendering showing an expanded CPKC Stadium, a parking garage and multi-story building immediately north, and the Current Landing project under development along the Missouri River in Kansas City, Missouri."

Accordingly . . . Here's the promise from Mayor Q:

"For Kansas City, the project means thousands of construction jobs, new residents, and increased tax revenue, plus expanded public trails and gathering spaces along the Missouri River providing engagement with nature for all Kansas Citians to enjoy."
