Postscript on a tragic collision at ludicrous speed . . .
Guilty of reckless second-degree murder in connection with a 2021 crash that killed an Overland Park woman.
The crash occurred at about 8:30 p.m. Dec. 27 as THE DRIVER sped southbound along Quivira Road and ran a red light at 127th Street, slamming into a Nissan Versa driven by Barbara Patterson of Overland Park.
Patterson, 75, was pronounced dead shortly after the crash.
