Legislator DaRon McGee and Dr. Jamesia McGee Announce Pregnancy
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Legislator DaRon McGee, who represents the 4th District on the Jackson County Legislature, announced today that he and his wife, Dr. Jamesia McGee, are expecting a baby. Mom and baby are healthy, and the couple is very happy to share the news with the community.
McGee said the two of them wanted neighbors and constituents to hear it from them first.
“We are absolutely overjoyed,” said McGee. “We’re thankful, we’re excited, and we feel incredibly blessed heading into this next chapter together. We wanted to share this on Father's Day weekend for a reason. My own father shaped the man I've become, and now I get the chance to be that for someone else. I can't imagine a greater blessing. We can’t wait to meet our little one, and we are so grateful to share this joy with the community that has supported us every step of the way.”
The family will not be sharing additional details at this time.
