More than any other topic this week . . . We notice conservatives across the nation denouncing today's ruling whilst vilifying Justice Amy Coney Barrett.
As always, we search for a local angle and Congressman Cleaver's statement today brings the decision back to Kansas City in a way that's far more enjoyable for public discussion than all of our exotic foodie options, blame games after some horrific crime OR cheap labor that EVERYBODY uses (knowingly or not) always readily available at any local hardware store parking lot . . .

This topic always gets an eye-roll from TKC if only because precious few of our progressive & conservative friends understand Latino culture and multi-generational communities who are more than happy to close the door behind themselves and don't mind living with political contradictions or the absence of ideology consistency.
Translation: Silly questions deserve silly answers.
Now here's the word from our congressman and more newsie perspective if only to engage any of our visitors tonight . . .

Their explanation on opinion on the case are required reading for anyone who doesn't understand why the 14th Amendment was crafted the way it was. It was solely to allow slaves to be considered US Citizens, and to protect their rights...not to allow "birth tourism" as is happening in the United States."
