Clay Chastain Champions KC 'Green Wave' But Could Be Targeting New Royals Stadium

Clay Chastain: Forget the Blue or Red Wave, The 'Green Wave' is coming to KC

On the Nov. Ballot thanks to legions of young voters who have signed the Green Transportation Initiative (Citywide Airport Monorail, et al) that Chastain will submit to the City on Monday morning. Why not, its their future. However beware, because Mayor Lucas and previous Mayors & Councils share a dark history of sabotaging Petitions that challenge the establishment's leadership. Perhaps Radio's Pete Mundo ('Mundo in the Morning') can quiz the Mayor as to whether he and the Council intend to torpedo another Petition & 'Act above the Law' (in 2014 the Missouri Supreme Court ruled KC gov't. must place valid Petitions before voters)

Mr. Mundo might also ask... Mayor Lucas why are you against an Initiative (signed by 3,000 KC Voters) that will not only provide affordable, clean mobility options for the people and link to the City's Streetcar System, but will also secure federal matching funds, create a Central Transportation Center @ Union Station, drive economic development across the entire City and redefine KC's civic identity?

Lastly, here is another 'tough question' for Mayor Lucas....Mayor, there is another Petition that will be turned in soon asking for a public vote on the Downtown Ballpark proposal. Will you treat both Petitions the same and place both on the upcoming Nov. Ballot since you profess to be an inclusive & transparent Mayor?
