Apparently . . . Kickball for the ladies doesn't really spark the ire of so many local tax fighters even if this is EXACTLY THE SAME REAL ESTATE SCHEME that both the Royals & Chiefs are running.

"Just two years after the home of the Kansas City Current, CPKC Stadium, opened to the public, Mayor Quinton Lucas proposed legislation that would use hundreds of millions of dollars in special obligation bonds to expand the stadium, as well as the surrounding Berkley Riverfront area.

"The project carries an estimated price tag of $1.4 billion, though the ordinance does not detail how the costs would be divided between private and public financing. "
