Activist Justice Horn Challenges Incumbent Over LGBT Sanctuary Legislation

The latest note from a courthouse contender claps back against last minute power moves . . .

People ask why I'm running against an incumbent who has been there for close to a decade—Here's one reason: I spent 2023 and 2024 sending my county legislator draft ordinances to protect and empower LGBTQ+ people in Jackson County. There was no action when it came to protecting my folks. 🌈

These ordinances would’ve expanded employee healthcare, made Jackson County a sanctuary county for LGBTQ+ folks and immigrants, and created a county level LGBTQ+ commission. 🏳️‍🌈

Those proposals were ignored for years. Several years later, with an election a month away, some of those same ideas are finally moving forward.
