Stabbing Kills Kansas City Victim On Gillham

A late night, early morning fight ended tragically in Midtown Kansas City.

Something to consider . . . 

This is the second Kansas City homicide in less than 24 hours as temperatures are trending upward.  

Check the aftermath report and info police are sharing with local media . . . 

Homicide 41st and Gillham Rd.  

This morning at 1:50am Officers were dispatched to 41st and Gillham on a cutting call.

When officers arrived they located an adult male victim unresponsive with significant injuries consistent with stab wounds. 

Officers rendered aid to the victim until EMS arrived. EMS took over aid and transported the victim to the hospital. At the hospital the victim was declared deceased.

Responding officers detained one subject of interest for further investigation. 

Homicide detectives have responded to the scene for investigation and they are working with crime scene investigators to process the scene for all the available evidence. 

Preliminary investigation indicates the victim and subject of interest were in the park at this location when they had an altercation that led to the victim being injured.
