Here's the problem . . .
Even in red state Missouri . . .
We're noticing a great deal of resistance to redistricting maps and surprising push back is from rural voters who don't want to be looped into Kansas City proper.
Smarter Missouri politicos have realized as much and are quietly backing away from this effort behind the scenes. Yes, this includes some of our favorite Republicans from nearby Lee's Summit.
However . . . Here's the question given that redistricting/gerrymandering was a White House ploy:
WILL MAGA LOYALTY WEAKEN GUV KEHOE AS PREZ TRUMP'S REIGN CONCLUDES?!?
Some Republicans think the midterm damage won't be a blue wave . . . Meanwhile progressives are counting on universal American resistance.
The truth is always anticlimactic . . . Over the course of American history MOST presidents lose MOST of their support in their second term. Even Reagan was a punching bag in the late 80s after two historic victories.
Caveat . . .
We can always rely on Missouri Democrats to waste anything resembling momentum by way of horrible candidates and repellent platforms.
And so . . .
Here's the Guv still playing MAGA cheerleader for better and worse . . .
“Missourians are more alike than we are different, and our Missouri values — rooted in common sense, hard work and personal responsibility — are stronger and far more aligned across both sides of the aisle than the extreme left-wing agendas pushed in states like New York, California, and Illinois,” Kehoe said in a post on X about an hour after the court handed down the rulings.

Kehoe cheers high court ruling on new districts: 'Missouri First Map stands'
Missouri's new congressional map survived two Missouri Supreme Court rulings - and Gov. Mike Kehoe heralded the rulings a "HUGE" win.
Why there is a glimmer of hope for Democrats in Missouri gerrymandering rulings
Republicans have championed the rulings as a major win. But a little-noticed line has now offered Democrats a glimmer of hope.
