We notice a theme this week . . . Our progressive colleagues are so frustrated with redistricting/gerrymandering that they're talking fashion choices of their Republican opposition . . . Check-it:
"As I’ve noted multiple times before, this is the way the Missouri GOP rolls: spitting in the face of voters time and again. They simply don’t give a damn about anything so quaint as the voters’ will. Whether it’s acting to overrule voter referendums making abortion legal, hiking the minimum wage, or granting workers paid sick leave, they just don’t care what Missouri voters want.
"The gerrymandered map, and Hoskins’ political gamesmanship, is the logical culmination of their contempt for voters. Rather than letting voters choose their representatives, they want to choose their voters.
"Nothing so completely demonstrates Hoskins’ sneering contempt as the way he sashayed the other day through a crowd of protesters demanding that he do his job. Clad in his trademark red jacket, he gave them a patronizing wave of the hand as he walked by.
"No, Denny doesn’t give a hoot about what voters think. He’d rather tell people what to think . . ."
