Prairie Village LGBT Activists Denounces Council Over Drag Time Story Hour Debate

"This was nothing more than a move by closeted Republicans to cancel a Pride event for being a Pride event. I have to be honest that I am curious as to why a drag queen story hour came under such scrutiny by several members of the Council when the Committee had no plans to hold one in the first place. I should hope that our local elected officials in Johnson County aren’t buying into homophobic and transphobic narratives that ultimately do nothing but harm the LGBTQ+ community."
