Homicide 500 blk NW Englewood
This morning, just before 7:00 AM, officers responded to the 500 block of NW Englewood on the report of a check the welfare. The individuals had not been heard from, and family was concerned for their wellbeing.
As officers arrived they were directed to an apartment within the complex. As officers entered the apartment they located an adult female victim and an adult male victim. Both were suffering from unknown trauma. Both victims were pronounced deceased on scene.
This is being investigated as a homicide. Detectives are working to determine what led up to the incident and if the individuals involved had a relation to one another. Investigators and crime scene personnel are canvassing the scene for witnesses, physical evidence, and surveillance footage.
If anyone was in the area and heard or saw anything or has any information they are asked to contact Homicide detectives directly at 816-234-5043 or the TIPS Hotline anonymously at 816-474-TIPS. There is a reward of up to $25,000 for information submitted anonymously to the TIPS hotline.
