The Platte County Republican Central Committee has formally censured four candidates who quit the Republican primary and filed as independents. 

The withdrawals came in the moments before a Platte County Commission meeting called to vote on their disqualification.

All four had failed to file their Personal Financial Disclosures - a basic statutory requirement for candidates, but one they said was intended to confuse them.
