A look at her EPIC time in Kansas City's most eclectic enclave . . . Sure, she's the greatest nemesis of this blog BUT we can't help but admire her endurance . . . Check-it:
We got raided by homeland security, were written up in The New York Times, Elle, Bust, WWD, CNN, Vice, covered by NPR and Southern Living. Famous people stopped by. Birdies won best lingerie shop in North America, announced in a French accent.
I convinced the Columbian Government to give me two tickets to an independent fashion show being promoted over the phone. We left thirteen hours after confirmation of flights and proof from the American embassy that the event was authentic.
We bought billboards, met our designers in NY, battled coked-up Floridians for our designated seats during Miami Fashion Week. Traveled to Paris in 2022. We had a land line.
The ceiling fell in as we moved the dressing rooms out. The sky was falling as we fell into the new space.
Shelves dusted and lit. The first edition paperback is a perfect pillow for these hard bound next chapters.
