"In a message sent to parents, Principal Nathan Muckey said the lockdown began shortly after 7:30 a.m. following a threat called in to the front office. Students and staff stayed inside their classrooms or moved to the nearest safe location, per the school’s protocol.
"The Lee’s Summit Police Department responded to the school and searched the building. After the search, law enforcement determined there was no credible threat to the school. Officials confirmed the lockdown had been lifted and normal operations will resume."
