The reality is that the low-end drives wages down across the board and ULTIMATELY is unsustainable for both biz and ESPECIALLY workers . . . Check-it:
The minimum wage in Kansas since Jan. 1, 2010 has been $7.25 an hour, which is the same as the federal minimum wage.
Kansas Sen. Cindy Holscher, D-Overland Park, introduced a proposed bill Feb. 3 that would have raised that to $16 an hour.
That bill was referred Feb. 4 to the Committee on Commerce, where it died April 10 in committee, state legislative records show.
