Kansas City Warns Visitors & Homeless Against World Cup Camping

Our upcoming moment on the global stage is now openly hostile to so many warm weather encampments that typically set up across the metro. Now, Parks & Rec sends out one of their sternest admonitions. 

To wit . . .

NEITHER LOCAL HOMELESS NOR WORLD CUP VISITORS WILL SAVE CASH BY CAMPING IN KANSAS CITY PARKS!!!

 It's a strict policy that will probably serve to help both neighborhoods and local biz and provides a hint that the upcoming games are about more than just branding.

"With hundreds of thousands of people expected in Kansas City during the 2026 FIFA World Cup and both ticket and hotel prices sky rocketing, some may be turning to the idea of camping, but The Kansas City, Missouri Parks and Recreation says that overnight camping will not be allowed in any of its 221 parks."
