As of 6 a.m., Tuesday, around 14,000 across the metro remain without power as opposed to more than 16,000 at 5 a.m.

Evergy reported 51,606 customers and over 880 active outages as of 10 p.m. Monday.

A significant portion of those outages were in the Kansas City metro, according to the Evergy outage map. In total, more than 40,000 customers and over 500 outages were active in the Kansas City metro.
