"City Council asked for the auditor to conduct an expedited compliance review of contracts with the Greater Kansas City Coalition to End Homelessness.

"Thursday’s vote follows a FOX4 report detailing several resignations by officers on the Continuum of Care Board. Thursday, Mayor Quinton Lucas said the reasons cited in a joint resignation letter raised concerns.

"June 1 homelessness-related service providers across the nation can start applying for HUD Funding through the Continuum of Care. Kansas City’s COC board oversees $20 million in funding."
