Kansas City Farmers Market Passport Debuts

This municipal gimmick will supply nutritious warm fuzzy feelings to politicos and many of their earthy constituents during the growing season . . . Sure, it's mostly pointless public relations but sometimes there's nothing wrong with savoring good vibes . . . Check-it: 

Civic leaders — including city council members and U.S. Rep. Emanuel Cleaver — unveiled the new Farmers Market Passport, a program designed to encourage residents to shop locally and eat healthy.

The program is led by the Ivanhoe Neighborhood Council and Cultivate KC.
