Kansas City Attempts West Bottoms Revival Yet Again

Actually . . . This time there seems to be a more comprehensive plan by way of hipster amenities and luxury EPIC rent . . . 

For history's sake let's remember that NONE OF THE REDEVELOPMENT WORK HAS EVER ACHIEVED LASTING RESULTS FOR MOST OF THE MODERN ERA . . . 

We can only hope they're also making flood control improvements. 

Nevertheless . . . 

This time might or might not be different . . .   

"A stretch of 11th Street next to The Depot has been freshly paved and will have removable bollards letting it be temporarily closed for future outdoor events and concerts.

"The bones of SomeraRoad's $526.7 million West Bottoms redevelopment are emerging. Builders are working on sidewalks, roads and a central public square with food and beverage offerings."
