Kansas City All Weekend 'Night Market' Crossroads For World Cup: Disaster?!?

We needed time to think about this one and offer a chance for our bloggy community to comment in the light of day . . .

IS THE KANSAS CITY CROSSROADS "NIGHT MARKET" IDEA NOTHING MORE THAN A DISASTER IN THE MAKING?!?!

 Consider . . .

During the Summer, First Friday has typically devolved into sideshows, food truck fests and urban exploring . . . For the most part it's harmless but locals shouldn't forget the tragic legacy of Erin Langhofer who was killed by a stray bullet during a Crossroads altercation

Sure . . .

There will be more security and we notice locals are quick to forget urban threats and the crowds have now mostly returned to First Friday for better and worse.

Still . . .  It's not unreasonable to be a little bit skeptical about this impending party . . .

"On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, from June 12 to July 12, the Night Market is designed to welcome visitors from across the globe throughout the historic soccer tournament, showcasing Kansas City’s creative and vibrant culture.

"It will feature more than 200 artists, along with neighborhood restaurants, retailers and arts organizations. Additionally, visitors can expect art markets, culinary pop-ups, live music and performances, cultural events and premier art gallery openings at the event."
