Jackson County Moves Forward With Property Tax Consolidation Plan

LeVota asked the Jackson County legislature to pass an ordinance codifying tax credits for residents affected by the property tax crisis following a state tax commission order. He implemented a 15% assessment cap on residential properties in 2023 and 2024 and established a process to provide tax credits spread over three years.
