"Jackson County legislators are currently considering a 120-day moratorium on zoning and land-use approvals for new data centers in unincorporated areas. The temporary ban aims to allow the county to establish stricter guidelines for large tech facilities, following major artificial intelligence data center developments proposed in neighboring Independence."
