How Should We Feel About Hawaiian Bros Switcheroo On Kansas City Royals Deal?!?

Apologies . . .

This story was a very big deal with week but it didn't really register with TKC if only because we tend to ignore the complaints of middle-class white ladies on social media.

However . . .

Per ushe, we were mistaken about the power of online Karens and consumer advocacy after the Hawaiian Bros switcheroo ACTUALLY garnered a great deal of local attention.

Here's the roundup and a chance for our readers to weigh in on their sad dinner in a styrofoam container:

The restaurant chain announced it is adjusting its “Plates for Plates” deal with the Kansas City Royals from a free meal offer to a buy-one-get-one-style promotion.

In an open letter to customers and Royals fans, Hawaiian Bros said the promotion became far more popular than expected.

"Well... this got a little out of hand," the company wrote with a laughing face emoticon.

"You packed our restaurants, lit up social media, and turned this into something way bigger than a promotion," the company continued. "And honestly, we've loved every second of it."

Beginning immediately, HB Rewards members will get a free Classic Plate Lunch with the purchase of a Plate Lunch the day after the Royals score six or more runs at home.
