A black Erté showgirl-inspired mermaid dress complete with a fuzzy collar and sleeves that looked like wings inspired awe at this week's elite event . . . However, sadly, the ensemble didn't belong to the Kansas City Chiefs baller . . . Instead it adorned Brit blue-eyed soul singer Sam Smith. 

Some good-natured social media trolling inspired online confusion and the online ranting of a great many drunk uncles . . . More insight into how it started . . . 

Former Titans offensive tackle Taylor Lewan, who is part of the Bussin’ With The Boys podcast, saw a video of Smith and joked that it was Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
