Chastain Preps Latest Kansas City Petition

Quick note from a friend of the blog and this town's most prolific petitioner . . . 

Chastain will submit the Monorail Petition to the City Clerk next week in anticipation of the Greatest Election Victory in the City's history (Nov.),  

"You know it don't come easy" because...Even though the Airport Monorail is Kansas City's Future, KC's Duds (Star, Lucas & Council) just don't get it and thus remain silent, opposed and stuck in the past.

Even though the (Citywide) Monorail & supporting cast will...fix KCI, fix Union Station, fix Downtown, fix the Plaza, drive economic growth & in-fill development, revitalize the eastside, secure federal money, provide the people Affordable Clean Transportation Alternatives, connect the northland to the southland and grow the City & improve its living conditions, the "Duds" continue to stand in the way of "Victory" for Kansas City. Why is that?

Thus far, the "Duds" are employing Rule #1 from the Power Playbook of KC's (controlling) Status Quo...Don't talk about it therefore it doesn't exist. But this Idea does exist, as 2,500 KC Residents have signed in support of the Affordable Clean Transportation (ACT) Initiative.

The "Duds" don't get it...a City cannot live by cars alone, nor a limited, slow-moving streetcar. In Today's Environmentally- Conscious Age, a City must offer Affordable Clean Transportation Options to compete, pull in the outside world and prosper. In our case, the (proposed) 30 - mile Monorail Spine (from  Kansas City International Airport to the Kansas City Zoo) will unify, beautify and blow away the competition.

Suggestion to KC Voters: 

In November... Storm the helm, take control from the "Duds" and steer the City to its "Future". 
Soon thereafter... Elect a new helmsman (Mayor) that gets it...Recognizes a Great Infrastructure - Improving Project when Presented by the People.
