Bishop Ward Criminal Investigation DROPPED After Senior Prank

A local Catholic controversy offers the Kansas City metro another glimpse into local parochial life.

Forgive us but TKC knows more about Kansas Catholic school discipline than anybody else and this dumb situation is true to form . . .

A controversy and public outcry meets with outrage and many hurt feelings but, per ushe, Catholic leaders decide that it's better to avoid more publicity rather than encourage any modicum of accountability.

Sound familiar???

Like it or not, it's the same kind of culture of silence that facilitates suffering amongst the faithful that's more important than just property damage.

Bright side: The hot mess provides a very important teachable moment about how the world REALLY works for apt students.

And so . . .

Here's the postscript that should inspire more skepticism . . .

The criminal investigation into a burglary and vandalism incident that led to the postponement of graduation at Bishop Ward High School has been dropped, officials say.

In a statement, the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department said KCKPD was informed by the administration at Bishop Ward along with the Archdiocese that the school has chosen to handle the response to the burglary internally. As such, they do not wish to proceed with a criminal investigation.

KCKPD has now closed the investigation into the incident at their request.
