Witness Party Place Feudalism Future: Kansas City Iron District

Smarter denizens of our blog community believe that places like this are the future of open air entertainment in this cowtown . . . Outside the clutches of most 12th & Oak city block zealous regulation and anti-biz fervor. 

Yes, there are still rules BUT . . . A private party place offers less opportunity for protesters to shut down your district every time an election is coming up. 

The downside . . . The offerings are smaller and the risk is far greater for developers and Technofeudalism for the drinking class has arrived whether we like it or not.

However, as always, we're interested in any local success story . . . So here's an update:  

"The Iron District debuted at 1599 Iron St. in 2019 after being developed by its owner-developer Zach Taylor and a partner. It now has six food operations, an ice cream shop, three retail vendors, three bars, and two heated containers for indoor seating.

"An upended shipping container at the corner of 16th Avenue and Iron Street houses its electrical and serves as the backdrop for live performers on the stage — every Friday and Saturday starting in May. Trivia night is Thursday nights."
